Jorge Mosquera, DDS
Prosthodontist
Founder and Clinical Director of
Makeover Dental
Dr. Jorge Mosquera is a surgically trained Prosthodontist, focusing on comprehensive restorative patient treatment, including placement of dental implants (conventional/zygomatic/pterygoid implants) utilizing the All-on-X (Teeth in Just One Day) workflow, moderate sedation dentistry, esthetic crowns, bridges, veneers, state-of-the-art digital dentures, Cosmetic Hyaluronic Acid fillers, facial rejuvenation and Botulinum toxin injections (Botox). He received his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree in 2005 from Fundacion Universitaria San Martin in Bogota-Colombia. Dr. Mosquera practiced general dentistry for several years. He was a Prosthodontics preceptor at the University of Puerto Rico before he entered Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Ft Lauderdale, FL where he received his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics as well as the certificate of Maxicourse Dental Implant Education form the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has completed vast continuing education programs in prestigious institutes to improve and better his skills in modern dental implantology. With years of valuable dental experience, he and the rest of the Makeover Dental team are proud to offer professional, compassionate care to patients like you.
Dr. Mosquera enjoys his free time with his cats, family and friends; he loves live music events and also enjoys Motorcycling, as well as Snowboarding during the winter.

Research
Dr. Mosquera research project involved a laboratory study that measured progressive wear of the components of implant-supported snap in dentures. The paper has been published in the Journal of General Dentistry.

David Gallego
Operations Manager & Smile Designer
David Gallego joined Makeover Dental in 2023, just before the practice opened, and has been instrumental in building the digital foundation that defines the practice today. As Operations Manager, he works closely with Dr. Mosquera and the clinical team to ensure every patient benefits from modern technology, personalized treatment planning, and a seamless experience from their first visit to their final smile.
David played a key role in developing Makeover Dental’s fully digital workflow and in house dental laboratory, helping create a streamlined process where the clinical and laboratory teams work together seamlessly. This close collaboration allows for greater precision, improved communication, faster turnaround times, and highly personalized restorations designed specifically for each patient.
He oversees the practice’s digital technology, including digital X-rays, CBCT imaging, facial scanning, intraoral photography, and digital treatment planning. David also manages the practice’s marketing, patient education, and digital communications, helping ensure every interaction reflects Makeover Dental’s commitment to exceptional care, innovation, and outstanding service.
As a Smile Designer and certified EXOCAD digital dental specialist, David collaborates closely with Dr. Mosquera to digitally plan implant restorations, full-mouth rehabilitations, and complex cosmetic cases. By combining digital smile design, 3D imaging, facial scanning, and precision CAD/CAM technology, he helps create restorations that are tailored to each patient’s facial features, bite, and smile delivering results that look natural, feel comfortable, and function beautifully.
David is also certified in MiYO® Aesthetics, an innovative ceramic characterization system used to enhance zirconia restorations with natural color, depth, texture, and translucency. This artistic process gives each restoration the lifelike appearance of natural teeth while preserving the exceptional strength and durability that zirconia is known for.
Passionate about innovation, David is continually exploring new technologies and digital workflows that improve precision, efficiency, and the patient experience. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence help ensure every restoration is thoughtfully designed to complement each patient’s unique smile and provide beautiful, long lasting results.
David believes exceptional dentistry is achieved when advanced technology, clinical expertise, artistry, and compassionate care come together to create smiles that truly change lives. His work bridges the gap between clinical excellence and digital innovation, helping Makeover Dental deliver personalized care with precision, comfort, and confidence.
Outside the office, David enjoys cycling, strength training, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his wife and their Siberian Husky.

Angelica Gallego
Practice Manager | Patient Care & Treatment Coordinator
Angelica Gallego joined Makeover Dental for its grand opening in September 2023, bringing more than 20 years of experience in dentistry. As a Certified Dental Assistant, experienced office administrator, and Practice Manager, she is dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for every patient from their very first phone call to the completion of their treatment.
With extensive experience in prosthodontic practices, Angelica understands the unique needs of patients undergoing complex restorative, implant, and full-mouth rehabilitation procedures. Her knowledge, organization, and compassionate approach help patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout every stage of their dental journey.
As Practice Manager, Angelica oversees the day-to-day operations of Makeover Dental, helping coordinate patient care, scheduling, insurance benefits, and financing options. She works closely with Dr. Mosquera and the entire team to ensure every detail is handled with efficiency, professionalism, and genuine care, allowing patients to focus on what matters most achieving a healthy, confident smile.
Angelica believes every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for. She takes the time to answer questions, guide patients through the treatment process, and helps them understand their options, making every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Her warm personality and commitment to outstanding service have helped build lasting relationships with patients and families who trust Makeover Dental with their smiles.
Outside the office, Angelica enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends, staying active at the gym, and making the most of every opportunity to create lasting memories with the people she loves. Mikinzie
Insurance Coordinator | Clinical & Front Office Support
Mikinzie joined Makeover Dental in September 2023 as a Lead Dental Assistant and quickly became a versatile and essential member of the team. She earned her Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential in 2020 and also serves as the office OSHA Coordinator, helping maintain the highest standards of safety, organization, and compliance throughout the practice.
With experience supporting both clinical and administrative operations, Mikinzie plays an important dual role within the practice. She assists chairside during advanced restorative and implant procedures while also supporting front office operations, helping ensure smooth communication and coordination between the clinical team and patient services.
In her role as an Insurance Coordinator, she helps patients understand their insurance benefits and coverage options, working to simplify the financial and administrative aspects of care. Her goal is to make the treatment process as clear, accessible, and stress free as possible for every patient.
Known for her positive attitude, adaptability, and calm presence, Mikinzie is a valued part of both the clinical and administrative teams at Makeover Dental. She takes pride in contributing wherever she is needed and helping create a seamless patient experience from start to finish.
Outside of the office, Mikinzie enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Angela
Dental Assistant
Angela has been a Dental Assistant since 2014 and is a valued member of the Makeover Dental clinical team. She plays an important role in supporting patient care and ensuring each visit is comfortable, efficient, and well-coordinated.
With years of clinical experience, Angela assists the doctors during a wide range of dental procedures and contributes to maintaining a smooth and positive patient experience throughout treatment. Her calm approach and attention to detail help patients feel at ease while receiving care.
Outside of the office, Angela enjoys visiting state parks, going on road trips, and spending quality time with her daughters. She also enjoys listening to all types of music and playing darts.
Tyler
Front Desk Coordinator & Office Operations Support
Tyler joined Makeover Dental in June 2025 and is an important part of our front office team. He is known for his friendly personality, strong communication skills, and his ability to make patients feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they call or walk through the door.
As a Front Desk Coordinator, Tyler helps ensure the daily operations of the office run smoothly. He is highly organized and plays a key role in scheduling, patient coordination, and maintaining efficient communication between patients and the clinical team. He also supports the overall upkeep of the office, helping ensure a clean, organized, and well-maintained environment.
Tyler is well spoken both on the phone and in person and is often one of the first points of contact for patients. His positive attitude and professionalism help create a smooth and reassuring experience for every patient.
Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys golfing, spending time with friends, watching soccer and football, staying active at the gym, and spending time outdoors near lakes and the ocean.
